3-K for All and UPK at Bright Minds Center 

 

- 8.30 AM - 2.50 PM

- Extended hours 2:50 PM - 6:00 PM available at an additional fee


3-K For All is a free full-day high-quality early childhood education program for 3-year-old children. In 3-K, learning with each other through play helps support children's social and emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, and even physical development. 

 
You can apply to 3-K in the calendar year that your child turns three.


Find your school district by using the School Search map tool or calling 311.
You can apply to any school district across the city.
Your child has priority to attend 3-K for All programs in the district where you live. 
Your child has a priority at the program of your choice if they are a current student or if a sibling(s) currently attend the program.

Children can enroll in Full Day, Extended Day and Year, and Head Start seat types. Learn more. The program that is now offered at the Bright Minds Center Midtown is a Full Day program.
The program we offer is a consistent DOE high-quality, play-based curriculum.

Who is eligible

All New York City families with children born in 2019 can enroll for the 2022-2023 school year regardless of income.
Children with disabilities or who are learning English can attend 3-K for All.

Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend 3-K.

How to apply

Use MySchools to apply to our 3-K program.

You can apply in English, Arabic, Bengali/Bangla, Chinese, Haitian Creole, French, Korean, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu.
After you apply, you can make changes to your application before the deadline.

You can apply by phone at 718-935-2009 or through a Family Welcome Center

Interpretation services are available in more than 200 languages.

4-K For All previously known as UPK is a free full-day high-quality early childhood education program for 4-year-old children. In 4-K, learning with each other through play helps support children's social and emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, and even physical development. 

 

In New York City, children begin Pre-K in the calendar year they turn four.
